I Tried to Come up with a Kitchy Title, but Failed

Hellooooo WaltCasters!

I finally have my laptop back, all restored and (like) brand-new. I'm currently sitting on my bedroom floor getting reaquainted with my email and whatnot, and also waiting for a phone call from Shawn. Why? Well, I wasnt't supposed to be involved with this weeks show, because I didn't think I was going to be able to record anything. He was going to have Bryan Ripper from All About the Mouse help him out on the news (which is usually my domain) in place of me. Turns out, the phone call I am waiting for is the 'all systems go for launch' for the skype call that I am going to be on with Shawn and Bryan. So, a heads up (because I HAD to let the cat out of the bag) to all you listeners that Bryan Ripper WILL be on the show this week!

I'm pretty excited, and you all should be too! The show will be out Wednesday and you may hear my voice a little more than expected!

Keep checking back!

Just Because

Hey everyone:

I thought I would drop by and give ya'll a quick update on the goings on over here at WaltCast. We've gotten some great feedback on the show, from new listeners and Disney podcasters. On the most recent episode of All About the Mouse, we got TWO!! shoutouts from Bryan and Jonathan. One was at the end of the show, and the other was in their show notes. Thanks guys! We've also gotten some awesome hits on the blog, as well as on our host site Podbean. We couldn't be more greatful that people are taking the time to listen to the show, even though the first episode was under three minutes.

We are in the process of planning out our next show, which we hope to release next Wednesday. You might not hear too much of me, because my laptop has decided to hate me. It is a Windows Vista related problem and I am in the process of backing up everything in prepreation to restore the laptop. I will try and get a few things in, but it's looking like Shawn may be doing the majority of the show.

As always, keep checking back and check us out on Itunes!

Hey everyone!

Just thought I'd throw an update in on this lovely (or not so lovely where I live) Tuesday. The WDW Monorail incident is still fresh in my mind, and I am sure in everyone elses. According to Netcot.com, the monorails at WDW HAVE reopened, two days after the crash killed one person. I have not been informed if OSHA or WDW have come up with the major cause of the incident, so any information will be appreciated.

WaltCast is coming along nicely. We are currently working on the first episode and will defiantly keep you all updated as we come closer and closer to the first episode being finished.

Thanks again!

Tragic Accident at Walt Disney World

We regret to inform you that at 2AM today (July 5th) there was a tragic monorail accident at Walt Disney World. I do not know where exactly the monorail accident was taken place, but monorails Pink and Purple were involved in the tragic accident. One person perished (one of the drivers). A family of six was freed from the monorail and the other driver was also safely rescued. The monorail system at the parks will be closed until further notice. My prayers go out to the cast member's family that died in this tragic accident.

We will be constantly checking all available news sources for any up to date news about this tragic accident and will be updating the blog as needed.

We're live!

Hey everyone!

WaltCast is officially live on Itunes as of this evening! Shawn and I are very excited to finally see the show on Itunes. We are planning our first show, which should be released in the next couple of weeks.
I'd like to take the opportunity to thank Van from Netcot and the Netcot podcast for his recent advice on podcasting. We really appreciate such awesome advice from such a fabulous podcaster. Shawn and I have been avid listeners of Van's show for sometime and greatly admire all of the time and effort he has put into not only his own show, but his website as well.
Also, I'd like to thank a good friend of mine for his constant support of the show. John will be a guest on WaltCast in the future, and in the meantime, check out his blog 52 Pickup, a movie review blog.

Check out the show on Itunes! Just search for WaltCast and give the test show a listen. Keep checking back here for for information as to when the first episode will be live!

Introductory Episode etc

Hey everyone.

The Introductory/Test episode of the show is officially on our Podbean (waltcast.podbean.com) and we just submitted the episode to Itunes for approval. I keep on searching the Itunes store for the show and it hasn't come up yet, but I can't wait until it does.

Both Shawn and I are excited to see our little "baby" grow as we gain listeners over the next few months as we enter the podcasting world. We both have been avid listeners of a few Disney-related podcasts and have greatly admired the work and dedication that each podcaster has put into their show. We hope to communicate our love of Disney to the world through the show and we hope we are able to do that.

Thanks again and keep a lookout for the first episode. Don't forget to leave comments on the blog or send us an email at: waltcast2009@yahoo.com. We appreciate any show segment suggestions, questions or even a quick email to say hello.
